The Zurich Chess Challenge 2016 took place in Switzerland 12th-15th February. Hikaru Nakamura is the winner of the Zurich Chess Challenge 2016.
Total Classical + Blitz: 1-2. Hikaru Nakamura, Viswanathan Anand - 10.5, 3. Vladimir Kramnik - 9.5, 4-5. Anish Giri, Levon Aronian - 5.5, 6. Alexei Shirov - 3.5.

Blitz: 1-3. Nakamura, Anand, Kramnik - 3.5 out of 5, 4. Giri - 2.5, 5. Aronian - 1.5, 6. , Shirov - 0.5.

New classical chess with a new time control of 40 minutes per game with additional 10 seconds for each move. Blitz (15th February). Classical games count as double: a win - 2 points, a draw - 1 point, the blitz results as usual in chess tournaments - 1 point for a win and 0.5 for a draw.
