Before the match: World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand of India, Challenger Magnus Carlsen of Norway.
Anand said at the Press conference 7th November that his seconds are Peter Leko, Krishnan Sasikiran, Chanda Sandipan and Radoslaw Wojtaszek. Carlsen was glad to know it, he said: "I appreciate Mr. Anand's openness about his team". Leko played CWCCM 2004 vs Kramnik 7-7.
