Caruana - So 1/2. The Nimzo-Indian Defence. Fabiano attacked on the kingside with f4 and g4, could have won many times.
Adhiban - Anand 1/2. The Reti Opening.
Wei Yi - Jones 1-0. The King's Indian Defence. When I played in tournaments I liked the King's Indian very much. In the good endgame Wei Yi pushed his king forward, grabbed the d6-pawn, sacrificed the exchange and won.
Giri - Carlsen 1/2. The French Defence.
Kramnik - Svidler 1-0. The Gruenfeld Defence. Vladimir outplayed the rival in the endgame.

Hou Yifan - Mamedyarov 0-1. The French Defence. The plan with 15.Rab1?! and 16.Rb5? was bad, the simple 15.cxd5 was better. Very strong Black's knights.
Matlakov - So 1/2. The Catalan Opening. A draw in 30 moves.
Karjakin - Anand 1/2. The Reti Opening.
Caruana - Jones 1/2. The King's Indian Defence. A sharp fight, but this is a risky opening for Black.
Adhiban - Carlsen 0-1. The Four Knights Game. 25.Bf3? was a mistake, 25.c3 was better.
Wei Yi - Svidler 1/2. The Gruenfeld Defence.
Giri - Kramnik 1-0. The English Opening. After 15...f5? Black's position was weak.

Giri - Hou Yifan 1-0. The Russian Game. Anish outplayed the rival in the queen endgame. 44...Kc8 and 55...Kd6 were better.
Kramnik - Wei Yi 1-0. The Reti Opening. Vladimir attacked with 30.f5, won pawns and the game.
Svidler - Adhiban 1/2. The Caro-Kann Defence.
Carlsen - Caruana 1/2. The Russian Game.
