The Bulgarian Championship 2005 took place in Pleven (Bulgaria) 23rd May - 3rd June.
1. Cheparinov, Ivan - 9.5 from 13; 2. Ninov, Nikolai - 9; 3-4. Bojkov, Dejan; Petkov, Vladimir.

The rapid chess match Peter Leko vs Michael Adams took place in Miskolc (Hungary), 2nd-5th June 2005.
Adams - Leko 4-4 (1-0, 1-0, 1-0, 0-1, 0-1, 0-1, 1/2, 1/2).

The Ciudad de Leon 2005 chess tournament took place in Spain June 9th-13th.
