The GibTelecom Chess Festival 2007 took place 23rd January - 1st February.

The first stage of the French team championship 2007, the TOP 16, took place February 9th-11th in the town of Chalons en Champagne. Two favourite clubs are Paris Chess 15 and Clichy.
