The European Women's Chess Championship 2004 took place in Dresden (Germany) 21st March - 3rd April.
Alexandra Kosteniuk is the new European Women's Chess Champion.
Tie-break for 1 place: Zhaoqin Peng - Alexandra Kosteniuk 0-1 (Alexandra obtained a good position in the Queen's Gambit Accepted), 1/2 (Alexandra won the exchange).
