London Chess Classic 2018

The London Chess Classic 2018 took place in England 11th-17th December. The final of the Grand Chess Tour 2018. Knockout. 4 players: Fabiano Caruana, Hikaru Nakamura, Levon Aronian, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave.
Hikaru Nakamura wins GCT Final 2018.

Final:
Hikaru Nakamura - Maxime Vachier-Lagrave 15-13. Classical 6-6 (1-1). Rapid 4-4 (1-1). Blitz 5-3 (2.5-1.5).

For 3rd place:
Fabiano Caruana - Levon Aronian 16-12. Classical 6-6 (1-1). Rapid 6-2 (1.5-0.5). Blitz 4-4 (2-2).

Semifinals:
Hikaru Nakamura - Fabiano Caruana 18-10. Classical 6-6 (1-1). Rapid 6-2 (1.5-0.5). Blitz 6-2 (3-1).
Maxime Vachier-Lagrave - Levon Aronian 18-10. Classical 6-6 (1-1). Rapid 6-2 (1.5-0.5). Blitz 6-2 (3-1).

TheLondon Chess Classic 2018 is one of the five tournaments of the 2018 Grand Chess Tour (Leuven - Belgium 12-16 June, Paris - France 20-24 June, Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz 10-16 August, Sinquefield Cup 17-28 August USA and GCT Finals London - UK December 2018).
After two Classical games on December 11-12, play switches to Rapid & Blitz on December 13. The winners go through to the 3-day Final, held at the traditional Olympia London venue on December 15-16 (Classical) and 17 (Rapid & Blitz). There will also be a Third Place Playoff.
Points: 6 points for a win, 3 points for a draw and 0 points for a loss in the 2 Classic games, 4 points for a win, 2 points for a draw in the 2 Rapid games, 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw in the 4 Blitz games.
